Protein-protein interactions and interactions with other molecules are a central component of cells. This course is designed to present an overview of different levels of interactions and networks of interactions that characterize cellular function. The vast data about interactions that has accumulated lately from high-throughput methods will be described, and tools to analyze these data. Recent successes in manipulation of protein-protein interactions by experiment or by computer-guided approaches will be introduced and practiced by hands-on examples.
