Oracle Resources

In the course, we will be using the Oracle relational database system, version 8i.

 Books:

There are several books about Oracle in the library. Most are a little old and are for a previous version of Oracle. However, they are still relevant for many topics. The following book is updated for the current version:
Oracle 8i: The Complete Reference, by Kevin Loney and George Koch

 Online Books:

SQL for Web Nerds by Philip Greenspun: This is a fun to read book with a lot of interesting ideas. However, SQL is not formally presented.

 Online Documentation

Oracle has all of their documentation on their technical site. You have to register yourself to access the documentation, but it's free.
There is online documentation explaining the Oracle error messages. These can be found here.
There is an Oracle FAQ with Directories, Message forums, Chat boards, and many more features that may be helpful.
There are several online tutorials floating around the Web. Here are a few:
