SUMMARY OF THE 2010 UAI APPROXIMATE INFERENCE CHALLENGE
The 2010 UAI approximate inference challenge ended on July 1st
with 26 competing solvers by 9 different teams.
For three different tasks (computation of marginals, partition
function and most probable explanation)
in three time frames (20 seconds, 20 minutes, 1 hour),
the winners are:

Winners who attended UAI received a free registration to the conference.
In addition, the three winners of more than one category, gave a short presentation of their solver in the
main conference.

- We are currently evaluating the possibility of turning the competitions setup into a
a continuous benchmark that will serve the community.
We will expose parts (but not all)
of the benchmarks only after the long-term setup has been finalized.
