Interview guidelines
|
- General:

- The interviews will start this Thursday, January 18th in room Levi 213.
- The interviews are mandatory to all students and account for 20% of the final course grade.
- The interviews will be conducted personally; pairs will not necessarily receive the same grade.
- Each interview will be take around 25 minutes - please show up a bit ahead of time so that we can start on time.
- Interview time slots are assigned on a first-come-first-serve basis: register to the interviews by writing your login next to a time slot which has not been taken yet in the list on the message board in Ross 0.
- What can be in the interview:

- We may go over some of your projects (1-11): You should understand them perfectly and you should be able to defend your design.
- We may ask some theoretical questions from the course material (chapters 1-11 in the book) such as what the VM segments are.
- We may ask some practical questions regarding the course material (chapters 1-11 in the book) such as asking you to write some (short) code in Jack
- What will NOT be in the interview:

- We will not go over your appeals!
- We will not go over questions you might have regarding the material.
- We will not go over questions you might have regarding the projects.
- How we will determine your grade:

- Your knowledge and understanding of your code.
- Your design of the projects (this part will be same to members of the same pair).
- Your understanding of the course material.
- Your abilities to use the course material in practice.

- Since the interview is short, the time you will have to answer each question will not be unlimited!
- As always, feel free to ask any questions regarding the course material in the newsgroup.
