Practical exercises should be submitted electronically.

 Receiving Marked Exercises and Grades:

Returned exercises will be placed in the db course closet, in Ross -2. Grades will also be available electronically.

 Appeals:

Appeals on exercises should be placed in the course box. You should attach an appeals form (word format).

 Exercise Guidelines

Number of Exercises:
There will be approximately 10 assignments. Generally, an assignment will be handed out once a week. Some of the exercises will be theoretical, some will involve using the Oracle database system and some will involve programming (with Java). All exercises are mandatory!
Exercise Weight:
The assignment grades will probably comprise of between 15 and 30 percent of the final grade.
Submission Date:
Exercises must be submitted on time! Late exercises will be penalized 5 points for each day past the due date. Any exercise that is over a week late will get a 0. Students who will be in miluim during the week preceding the due date of an exercise may hand in the exercise when they return from miluim. A copy of the 'tzav' should be attached to the exercise. Students who are in miluim for a long period of time can speak to the TA for extra consideration. If, for some reason (marriage, child birth, etc.), you feel that you deserve special consideration in handing in handing in a late exercise, you should speak to the TA before the due date to explain the problem.
